Excursion destinations for indoor activities

Nothing stands in the way of fun even on gray days

Our numerous indoor activities for young and old provide a lot of fun even when the sun is not shining: How about a visit to the Wichjie Mill Bakehouse, the Old Dwelling in Mund or the Saffron Museum? Perfect for rainy days is also a visit to one of the following museums: the Garde-, Strahler- or Simplonfestungsmuseum as well as the World Nature Forum in Naters. It never gets boring with us! And if you are looking for rest and relaxation, we recommend our small but nice wellness oases.

Ossuary Naters

the impressive skull wall

The ossuary in Naters is definitely worth a visit. Even today, it is mainly used to store the bones of long-dead people whose graves have been excavated. According to calculations, about 31,000 skulls are presumed to be in the ossuary, of which 1,857 are visible at the front.

Further information

The upper floor is still used for the laying out of the deceased.
